OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

Massachusetts officials, institutions, and executives enable Israel’s occupation and violence against Palestinians. Universities, businesses, hospitals, and nonprofits suppress dissent, distort the narrative, and foster Palestinian destruction, while state leaders silence and criminalize opposition 

This is a coalition building campaign will highlight and support Massachusetts organizations working to end Israel’s genocide and state complicity while defending Palestinians’ rights to life and self-determination. 


Pillars of Complicity in Massachusetts

STATE GOVERNMENT

  • Legislature’s Special Commission on “Combatting Antisemitism” The commission weaponized the fight against antisemitism to suppress opposition to Israel.

  • Massachusetts PRIT Fund The state retirement fund invests hundreds of millions in Israeli bonds and military contractors supplying Israel’s weapons.

  • Boston - Consulate General of Israel 0.4 miles from the MA Statehouse, continuing to carry out the work of genocide and propaganda of behalf of supporting Israel.

  • $47 Million dollar Military Grant - Governor Healey announced a $47 million subsidy for increasing military development in Massachusetts which will benefit Israel.

  • Mass. Legislators’ Israel Trip 6 Massachusetts legislators took an Israeli government-funded trip amid the bombing of Gaza to “strengthen the MA partnership with Israel.” 

HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS

  • SHEBA ARC Innovation  Governor Healey welcomed (with millions of dollars in tax breaks) Israel’s Sheba, an AI based Israeli government-affiliated hospital system to Massachusetts.

  • Mass General Brigham  Lockheed Martin CEO James Taiclet is on the Board of MGB. This leading health care institution is silent and complicit in the ongoing genocide.

EDUCATION 

  • Harvard University, Harvard Divinity School, MIT, UMass Amherst, Emerson College

  • Restricted pro-Palestinian speech, suspended students, and canceled Middle East courses on Palestine.

  • Boston police used overwhelming force while arresting 108 pro-Palestine Emerson students.

  • After ending its only Palestinian university partnership, Harvard partnered with Ben-Gurion University. Harvard Divinity School also closed its Middle East Studies program and fired its director.

  • MIT collaborates with Israel on research contributing to the genocide in Gaza  

  • Education Department reviews claim UMass Amherst discriminated against Palestinian and Arab students during Israel’s war in Gaza.

WEAPONS MANUFACTURERS 

  • L3 Harris, Lockheed Martin, Elbit Systems, Raytheon (RTX)

  • Elbit Israeli Defense Technology Firm provides weapons, drones, and surveillance technology used by the Israeli military in Gaza.

  • Lockheed Martin, the world’s largest weapons manufacturer, supplies Israel with F-16 and F-35 fighter jets used “extensively” to bomb Gaza.

  • L3Harris components are used in Israeli bombs, warplanes, tanks, and warships repeatedly deployed in attacks causing thousands of civilian casualties in Gaza and Lebanon.

  • RTX builds engines for the F-35 and F-15I. From Oct 2023 to Jul 2025, their stock increased by 77%.

FINANCIAL & IT

  • Capital One  $90 million loan to Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems.

  • Google $1.2 billion Project Nimbus deal provides cloud and AI services to the Israeli military.

  • Boston Consulting Group  led the militarized “feeding program” in Gaza where Israeli soldiers shot and killed hundreds of starving Palestinians seeking food.

  • Boston Financial District firms control stock of many major military companies.
